Derri Rifer & Co. is a team of highly experienced professionals offering a diverse yet complementary range of legal services personalized to each client’s needs.

Our Team

Deborah has a law degree (LL.B) from the College of Management Academic Studies, Israel, and she has collaborated with lawyers in the civil, criminal and administrative fields. Deborah interned at the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office (southern District) where she represented in various courts including the Shalom Court that handles civil cases, and the Juvenile Court. In this time, Deborah’s responsibilities ranged from handling pleadings, summaries and legal documents, indictments and requests for arrests, to working on the release committee in various prisons. Additionally, Deborah has worked at a notary and attorney office where she gained experience in civil litigation, preparation of court documents and management of evidence. Deborah’s work in the firm includes writ of execution, bankruptcy and torts.

/Dana has a law degree (LL.B.) from the College of Management Academic Studies, Israel, and she is a member of the Israel Bar Association. Dana has worked in the Office of the State Attorney (civil law) and during this time, she managed personal status cases and civil cases. Dana is also experienced in representation in judicial courts. Dana has also volunteered in the enforcement office and during her time there, her main responsibilities were to respond to debtor’s applications submitted to the enforcement registrar. Dana has been actively engaged in civil litigation since 2018, and she specializes in the field of execution, family, wills, inheritances and personal status. Dana is also authorized to draw up a lasting power of attorney.

 

Out of a strong determination to respond to the legal needs of residents who live away from Israel’s central hub, Dana is currently based in the southern region. 

Dana’s vision is to provide the client with professional care without compromise. She achieves this with close supervision, and a strong work ethic that emphasizes dedication, responsibility and commitment.

Attorney David Derri, a graduate of Tel Aviv University’s esteemed law school, is one of Israel’s leading lawyers. David founded the law firm David Derri & Co. in 1987 and has since acted as a defense attorney in thousands of cases. These include national security cases, most of which remain confidential to this day. David has an extremely impressive acquittal rate in criminal cases, notably in cases that proceeded to trial and where verdicts were given. David was a parliamentary advisor in the Knesset in the 1980s and early 1990s, representing memos, bills and petitions to the High Court. David has also been a high-ranking legal advisor in civil law for top law firms in Israel. In the 1990s, David advised the (late) Attorney Zvi Mitar and accompanied his office in representing one of the defendants in the famous ‘North American Bank’ case. David is known for his professionalism and creativity and he currently serves as the firm’s expert on criminal and civil law, advising on cases that are particularly complex.

Adv. Assaf Derri is a co-founder of Derri-Riffer & Co. Assaf has a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from Tel Aviv University, and a master’s degree (LLM) with honors, from the University of Washington. Following an internship at a prominent legal office in Washington, Assaf started practicing alongside his father, Attorney David Derri. Assaf is an expert in execution (including executing judgments for debt collection), insolvency proceedings and commercial law. He is also highly experienced in representing private and business clients in defamation lawsuits, tort and criminal cases. 

Besides his practice, Assaf contributes his expertise in academia. Assaf is a research fellow at the acclaimed Minerva Center for the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions, and he has served in the Program for Human Rights and Judaism. 

Additionally, Assaf teaches at the legal academy, he has written numerous articles featured in prominent publications, and he periodically participates, moderates, and chairs professional conferences on economic and social law.

Attorney Lior Derri holds a bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) from Bar Ilan University, Israel. During her internship at the Ministry of Justice, Lior worked in the office responsible for insolvency and economic rehabilitation, gaining invaluable knowledge and experience in this area. Lior is one of the founders of Derri-Riffer & Co., and she manages cases dealing with tort, defamation, contracts, inheritance and wills, and insolvency. Lior has also handled the firm’s clients in larger, high-profile cases. 

 

At present, Lior provides her services as a representative lawyer in the Tel Aviv district office in charge of insolvency and economic rehabilitation. Lior represents in courts and manages large cases of debtors and companies in operation and liquidation.

Attorney Eyal Rifer is a founding partner of Derri-Rifer & Co. Eyal is especially knowledgeable of the inner workings of the legal system, and he leverages this understanding for the benefit of his clients, which leads to better solutions and more strategic approaches. This is especially helpful when navigating Israel’s complex legal system. 

 

Eyal specializes in prosecution and enforcement, and he has professional knowledge in related areas such as negotiation with creditors, debt collection, probate, alimony and workers’ rights protection. Additionally, Eyal has considerable experience working in the Israeli and North American business worlds, and he channels this business acumen for his clients’ legal cases.
